Summer 2014 Projects

We will be meeting on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Room B104 at MPTC this summer.

Plans include

Updating the basketball robot to include
  • PID speed control of the shooter motor using a proximity switch on a gear sprocket as speed sensor
  • PID position control on the shooter hood using an encoder as the position feedback
Designing, building and programming a test board using an Arduino microcontroller to
  • test PWM cables
  • test Jaguar and Victor drives
  • monitor CRio PWM signals
  • test robot sub assemblies during build season
Electrical Equipment Cleanup
  • test all spare motors and drives
  • discard all out of date items
  • arrange items to be kept in an organised manner
